Christmas - already again?

Time really goes by fast, I just feel like it was yesterday 2012 started and now it will soon be over D:

I've been so bad a keeping up at this blog - sorry!
I thought this semester would be just a bit easier, but with three subjects that each demanded my attention most of thíme >__< but fortunately two of the subjects were really interesting - Japanese Society and The Roman Empire, well Japanese History was also good, I just couldn't deal with my teacher most of the time so I decided not to continue the spring course with her because I'll have to read up upon two German subjects and I really don't need to have my fights with the Japanese teacher too.
So hopefully next semester I'll be studying either Egyptian religion and art or Concentration camps in Poland and how they have been used in the media~ Quite interesting subjects ~

Then there was the apartment... oh hurray... it was such a dissapointment... =___= It was TOO small! I know I can't afford a big place but this was just too small, only my bed and a table, maybe a shelf or two would fit in the room and even then it would be too crowded... and my kitchen.... was a small plate right beside two closets...... not much of working space for dinner... so I quit the apartment and moved back to my uncle who luckily let me stay there - made me really happy.. but it means I still don't have my own D: but I am still searching! : D hopefully there will be something soon!

On the cosplay side... I have started on Ion Fortuna from Trinity Blood 8D which means I've made try outs for the outfit and made some of the small accesories - I hope to continue on him soom, but I've had a big assignment which I just finished today plus another smaller one last week that had to be taken care off, but hopefully I'll get my free time back soon and I can make some progress on Ion and my J-popcon cosplays~
- I swear some of those details on Trinity Blood costume and mine is not even the worst!

                                           
Jaerh.. One must be crazy to start on a TB costume.. but it has been something I really wanted to make since I first saw the anime back in 2008 and I finally feel that I have the skills to make it good now~

Ehm.. A left blog 8D

Oh yeah.. It has really been a while since I posted something here - I'M SORRY! D:
My whole summer was filled with so many things that I really didn't have the energy to write a post on my blog >__< but wow what a summer it was xD
Well... Most of it was filled with preparations for the World Cosplay Summit where Samie and I needed to make all the last things on our costumes and then of course practise our performance xD

And being in Japan - even more WOW! It was really amazing to go there and see their culture and all the things people had talked about. Even though the WCS schedule was really tight and you just felt like a monkey dancing around for the people then there were some things that just made the day~
I really like the act we had putted together but because we had to start the show early and we had to get on stage early then there was too much day light under the showed and you kind of missed the feeling of really performing and the scene light couldn't be seen at all D: not okay!

But after all the WCS stuff we headed off to Tokyo where we were at Disney Land and Disney Sea and yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay :DDD I felt like I was 10 years old again while walking around and seeing the light shows at the evening, because they were so amazingly beautiful and in one of the shows they used a piece of music from Fantasia which I adore SO much! ;w;

This just almost show my reaction when I heard that music piece - except from afterwards where I was almost rolling around on the ground of happiness xD

And then of course we went to Akihabara shopping! *w* So many things that I wanted to buy and so little money! But I found some good things that I HAD to buy xD
- A figurine of Lady Oscar from Rose of Versailes - which looks so awesome!
- A Gintama and Code Geass figure~
- Cosmode Magazine and an artbook from a really interest looking game xD
And some doujinshi - one with the cover drawn  by one of my favorite artists! *w*

So then we came back from Japan and just had to attend Genki-Con four days after xD and stupid as I am, I had to make a costume in three days 8D really... never again please!
Genki was really relaxing and it was great just to walk around with my friends and having a good time and it was lovely just to sit and enjoy the cosplay show - oh that stage! It was such a great stage with the light and stuff! *w*
Oh and right after my return to Denmark I got a mail from the apartment company to which I send an application some time ago and they told me they could get me a study apartment in November! Now that's what I call a wonderful message! It is about 6-8 km away from the house I'm living in right now, close to a station in some family apartment area and even though it is not that big I think it will be perfect for me, and the best thing - IT IS MY OWN PLACE :D:D:D:D



OH THE HAPPINESS! A place where I decide everything and no stupid uncle who can irritate me! Of course I've been so grateful that I could live in his houses but enough is enough and I really needed to have my own place and now I'll have it in just 1½ month *w* YAYNESS!

So that would be all right now, I know it is not that much and apologize for it D: But I promise to write some more later when I have more time~

Come on summer!

Okay, so now we are in the first summer month and so far it has been a really typical "danish summer weather" - which means a lot of rain... xD Or in the end of May it was really warm and that was really good because I've missed the good weather but when you are locked by your computer to write a huge history assignment and your room is like an oven because it is placed so the sun shines there most of the day then very warm weather is a bad thing!

And here is my working place for those days xD I apologize for the mess but this is how my room looks like when I'm studying! xD As you can see I'm surrounded by books, both dictionaries (Had to write it in German!)
and my notebook where I've wrote the most important things from the books I've been reading and could be used in the assignment. and my lovely Nightmare before Christmas cup~ oh it saved me so much that I could have some water by my side in that heath xD

And this is the sight I had from my working place xD not bad, but very distracting because you can see most of the airplanes flying around to or from the airport in Copenhagen xD

But luckily I finished the assignment had on the same day I turned that in I got a translation exam I could make at my house xD - I don't mind that xD

I've also tried to sort of what I'm going to do for the next year in my study while I after the summer vacation has selective subjects which means I can study another subject beside German, or go to another country and study there or just another danish university xD But I decided to stay here and chose a history theme and some japanese culture and history courses, so now I just have to wait and see if I can get a seat there xD

And then of course I have reading holiday and I used the last week to study up upon a theoretical exam, which I attened today.... and gosh... I hate theoratical grammatics! D< There are so many things you have to remember and I wasn't even sure about how we should do at the exam D:

One of the girls from the class put this picture on our forum and everyone thought it really showed how much our brains are working when we are studying for the exams xD

I'm also going to try to look for some youth apartment in the area, because I'm really getting tired of not living alone, I'm thankful that my uncle lets me live in his house but there have just been some things that have done I now I really need to get out and have my own place. I want to be able to make arangements with my friends without having to control 117 things together with my uncle and lately he has really been irritating, because I don't write everything single time I'm going somewhere despite that I told him the arrangement two days ago =____= and then there is just his talking to me like: "I'm not happy about this, you should know better... bla bla bla..." ... Seriously.. I'm not a child anymore... I couldn't even be in the house (which is fairly big) with two friends while he had a visit.... I really couldn't see the problem if we were just upstairs because the house is so big but no... he had to be irritated at me for not telling him (which I actually did). =__=

So I really hope I can find something where I won't have to wait for too long o:

I don't know when I'll write a post again because I'm focusing on costumes and reading up till my last exam the rest of this month xD so more studying = Study + dying to me xD

Past SVS-Con~

My god I really need to be better to write something here on my blog D: But the last things I've been working on is either some WCS-related stuff or something I couldn't show before svs-con, but now the convention is over and I can finally show some little progress pictures of my Twisted Minnie cosplay xD
Buuuuut first some about svs-con: This is the convention I find most relaxing and you just have som fun time I was going to cosplay Foxface from Hunger Games but my wig wasn't so great so I decided just to use my own hair xD Samie, Bára and Barbara was cosplaying as Katniss, Peeta and Effie and they were so great~
And then I was also excited to see the Elfquest group where Lavi, Bine, Lea and Kristine was cosplaying some of the wolfriders.. my god.. I read the comics when I was little and had re-read it a couple of times when I got older and I still love them so much and it was so fantastic to see my friends cosplaying these characters!! And they did it so well!

Then it was Saturday and preparations for the cosplayshow xD This time we were a group cosplaying Twisted Disney Princesses in designs from this amazing artist on dA: http://jeftoon01.deviantart.com/ ~
And the girls looked so perfect as the twisted girls, Samie with her burn wounds, Sørine with her eye, Abena with her armor and Lavi with her Leopard head and blood *w* I was so happy to be on stage with them~
I was cosplaying a Twisted Minnie in a self design by Samie and had the role of the evil queen xD
It was so amazing just to walk around the convention and hear people's reactions and after we performed everyone was so stunned by the act  ~
Then it was time for the awards and I was so happy to see Lea and Bine win "Best Craft" with their Howl's Moving Castles costumes, and their act.. I was so touched at how they acted and the story ;w;
Also, Karina won the danish qualification for Eurocosplay and that made me so happy because I know how much she has been working with her costume and her act and it just went so well!
Our group won both "Best Act" and "Crowds Favorite" and I'm so happy about the last prize because it is the audience who chose the winner there and it felt so wonderful to know that they really liked the act and we even did the act twice! xD

Sunday was relaxing with some Uta no Prince cosplays, my wig came just in time but it needs to have some more styling before it looks great xD But this years svs-con was just as amazing, if not even better as last years!

So I have one progress picture that I want to show - the others aren't that great xD


This is the finished result of my Minnie shoes, stupid me for not taking some earlier but I'm actually proud of them because they turned out good xD
I just bought some shoes with a little heel and then used foam to make the shoes wider by sewing it to the sides. Then the shoes were coated with fabric and I stuffed some of the places with cotton so that the foam wouldn't be so visible. And as a final touch I made some small bows xD

So I guess that would be it for now, I hope to write some more of what I'm doing so that it won't be two months again before I write a post here xD

Oh I can be creative sometimes!

Soooo finally I writing here again! - sorry for the long wait D:

I would have put something up earlier but when February started then too many things happened. First of all my lessons at Uni started again, this times with 5 subjects and I thought - hey it can't be that difficult I tried it at the first year.... but this time we have an exam in every subject which means the teachers just loooooves to give us assignments =___= I'm okay by having two translations every week, but then there is also some litterature and some history and we also have to remember to read all the pages for the lessons. I also failed my two written exams in January - I knew I might have failed one of them because it was so difficult but the other one surprised me a bit >__< But I got to re do them in February and I have a better feeling with them this time ^^ So I just have to wait for the results~

My parents also had their 25th wedding anniversary in February~ plus it was my dad's 60th birthday xD
I wanted to give them something they could remind them of the day and therefore made this:

A painting with their names and number 25 because of the anniversary - in Denmark we call it "Sølvbryllup" - Silver wedding and there are a lot of silver colored things at the party xD

                    We also make this kind of gate to show there is a 25th wedding anniversary xD
My brother and I also made a speech to our parents and made it so that he would start and then when finished I would stand up and begin on my part of the speech xD my parents knew we would make something but they would never have quessed that we did such a thing and they were so proud of us for standing and speaking so great and of course both of my parents held speeches of each others~

I also got some time for being a little creative, or well I am in the progress of making my svs-con costume and going to start on some WCS costume next weekend (FINALLY!) I haven't had much yet unfortunately with studying for re exams, and still keep in touch with the normal lesson and to top it being sick for a week but now I try to be ahead of my assignments so that I can get some more time to make some progress xD

I've never been the big prop maker but I have always wanted to make some horns~ like demon horns. I really think they are pretty but I also thought "how on earth am I supposed to make them?" Then the lovely Kami gave me an idea as I saw a progress picture of some horns she was making and I decided to give it a try xD So I went out to buy wire, paperclay and some glue, I already had some foam I could use xD

I started to cut out the form in foam I wanted for the horns, they have two sides glued together so that it would be more strong.









Then I made a lot of rings of wire and also wrapped some of it around the rings to streghtned it.
And yes this took a while xD But then christmas calenders are the best thing to watch while making this xD

 

 And then the work with the paperclay began xD and it gave a bit of trouble or truth to be told a lightbulp did. I couldn't understand how the clay could dry so fast when I was watering it all the time but then I looked at the cup og water and saw more and more small bubbles.. it was the strong light/ heat from the stupid light bulp that make it dry so fast! guuuuuarg! Stress! And I couldn't change it because it was so warm and I needed the light to see so I had to be quickly when forming the shape of the horns.

 

 Luckily I made it~ and here is the final result~ xD They are not totally perfect and I fear they might be a bit heavy but that can first be tested when I get some leather thread so that they can be tied to a wig xD but being a first try I think they turned out good xD And I can't wait till I try them on a wig~

So that would be all for now I guess xD I hope to have some more interesting pictures next time xD

- oh and this is what happens when you have worked with clay all day long and have a bit of leftovers xD

London - Oh yeah~

So here I am again!~ After a January that until now has been full of studying, exams, stress but also a trip to London which this post will be about xD

I was going together with Samie, Barbara, Bára and Sasha~ Already before leaving we knew it would be a trip full of nerdyness with Doctor Who and some BBC Sherlock xD and wow what a trip! Everything went so smooth, there were no big problems and all the things we were attending were worth the money xD
The hotel was really cool, it lie near a bus stop and not far away from a underground station or supermarkets xD It was close to Kensington High Street and the people there were so friendly and gave us tea and wine in the twin's birthday! xD

Some of the things we saw was London Dungeons - which is an amazing place xD We were a bit unsure in the beginning because the first actor wasn't that great and we hoped that the next would be better and boy they were xD they did such a good job and really played their roles so good~ Especially the torture chamber guy, the two in the court and the inn keeper - that place was really scary and Samie and I clinged onto each others because we got scared xD

We also went with the Ghost Bus Tour which is an old funeral bus that drives around in London and a guide tells you about some of the dark histories of London + ghost xD as a history nerd I sat like: Woooow, tell some more ~ xD he was really good at his job xD

Then of course we went to the Doctor Who Experience that was a perfect place for DW fans like us xD the experience was with the 11th doctor and I haven't seen the episodes with him yet but the tour made me really curious about the new doctor and now I want to watch the episodes! xD

We also bought a lot of things - or the others bought a lot compared to me but here is the things I got:

                    Not that much compared to the others but I still bought something at least xD

I bought "The King's Speech" because I really like how the cover looks compared to the danish edition and then of course it is a great movie, Colin Firth = <3 in that movie~ The other dvd is the anime of Devil May Cry and it was on sale for £5! I HAD to buy it ~ xD Oh and I also bought a TARDIS keychain ~

I really wanted a Doctor Who t-shirt but I didn't like most of the prints until I saw this one at the Doctor Who experience and I was sold xD It looks so pretty and I can't wait to wear it!

A necklace and some earrings I found in a shop in the airport on my way home xD They were on sale and without taxes so they only costed me about £8 ~ There were so many pretty things in that shop! But it were those who caught my eye~ and yes they are lying on a Disney Store box~ it was filled with those red Mickey heads you can see to the left of the earrings xD and the box contained this:

A nightmare before christmas cup!~ I saw this in the danish Disney Store and I really like the design and then I saw it was cheaper in London and then I just had to buy it!~ Now I have to make tea og hot chocolate soon so that I can use it~
The rest of the things are some things for my parents and my brother xD not that exciting xD

Oh I also tried to fly alone since I had to go home two days earlier than the others because of an exam and everything went well~ I was only nervous when the plane was moving too much but flying over Denmark by night and see all the lights and one of our big bridges was so fantastic! xD I actually think I saw my home town but I'm not sure xD

Christmas time!

 (Just to show some christmas things~ a small landscape at my house~)

So it is the 24th of December and that means chritmas eve here in Denmark!~ 
I'm going to celebrate christmas together with my parents and my brother and I'm really looking forward to hold a nice and wonderful christmas without any small kids that screams and runs around xD

Yesterday my brother and I decorated the christmas tree as we have as a tradition  and it looks so pretty right now~ My mother has a lot of decorating and especially the christmas ornaments and she gets the new ones every year xD We always need to put them on first after the light and we always get in trouble with finding space for them xD

This is one of my favorite ornaments~ One side is Denmark and the other side is the world~ I think it was made in 2000 and I WANT to hang it on the tree every year myself xD

             Say hello to the photographer xD I really couldn't help myself taking this kind of photo xD

So the next days will be full of family time with some good food and some presents 8D and then just having a good time together with my family. Even though it will be a bit weird this year because both my grandfather and grandmother passed away this year so we'll miss them, but I'm sure it will be a good christmas anyway~ 

I've also been a bit creative about some kind of prop to my Break cosplay, since I felt like something was missing on it before it was perfect and I figured out that it might be something with his left eye xD So I wanted to try to make some light that could shine and I found a way!

It turned out quite good! Even better than I expected xD So now I'll just have to find some red light so I can use it to my Break cosplay  - hopefully on a photoshoot~

Memories and up coming christmas

So last post was about my progress in my J-popcon stage costume xD and now it is about 3-4 weeks since Samie and I performed on stage and was chosen as Team Denmark 2012!~ We were so surprised and couldn't believe it! But we are very happy about getting this chance and we will make sure to show danish cosplay and make people proud of us~ 
The last weeks have been full of some stress from my school since we had an deadline about some material for a product and the teacher we needed some help from was sick and didn't answer our mail except when he cancelled our first sketch 5 days before deadline and then the night before the deadline... seriously... that sucks... >___< but luckily my group managed to reach the deadline and now we'll just have to make our product and write a report...

But now to something more fun~ 
For long I've wanted to get some frames for all the photos I printed this summer of my friends and finally I found some in Tiger and they were so cheap!

I like this so much! I really like the idea of the design and then the photos I chose mean a lot to me~ It is pictures of some of my precious friends and contains very dear memories to me, especially the group photo because it was to a friend who had to go on holiday for 2-3 weeks and the one where Samie and I hug Karina after she told us we were Team Denmark 2012. Also the picture with out lovely judge and now friend Bell from Germany~ <3

Also a wonderful memory from my study trip to Berlin in 2009~ I've had a very bad experience some months earlier in Germany and this girl who was my host sister made my trip so great! She was so sweet and always made sure that I was entertained and she even made me a memory box with pictures from my trip~
And to the left is the only present I won at a family christmas party thing xD
Yes I suck at games but it is kind of cute~

And this a gift from my mother since the girls in my mother's family give each others gift at Christmas and Easter xD I think it looks so adorable! I'm looking forward to taste it when it get more cold and snowy~

J-popcon closing in

Hello again and sorry that it has been some time since I wrote something on this blog >__< there has been too many things with the family, had to move suddenly and the school starting again but now I can finally show you some of the progress on my J-popcon cosplay!~
I'm only making one costume this year because.. It is very detailed and there's some things I've never done before - you got to learn something new day, right? xD
The cosplay is for the competition in the cosplay show together with Samie~ (Big surprise xD) And my cosplay is going to be:

Tadaaaa~ this costume.. and yeah.. kind of detailed and I got the same feeling as Samie that I wasn't that happy at first because people would then expect too much of me but with under a month left I guess I can show you some of the progress xD

This is the upper sleeve in its beginning xD I got the stripes on but as usual I hadn't enough of the fabric for the stripes.. so the sleeves are waiting a bit until I get some more fabric xD tomorrow..

These are the blondes on the end of the sleeves and I think they look so awesome~ I'm really glad about how they turned out~ and I look forward to see how the whole sleeve is going to turn out xD
Right now I'm working on the outside skirt and in the next days also finish the black skirt ~
Soon it will be holiday and the program is about sewing, training and having fun together with my friends~ I look forward to this friday when my holiday starts xD

Progress in Genki cosplays~

Oh god it has been a while since I last wrote here.. once more xD I'm so stupid so I forget to write something when I'm being active in the progress of making cosplays xD

Many things happened since last time I wrote here, some of my best friends finished gymnasium and became students~ I'm very happy that all of them made it and they have done so well xD it made me remember last year where I finished it too and I really wanted to wear my hat again xD

I attended two of them because those were the ones I could reach in time - my week looked like this: Monday: Malene finished her exam, Tuesday: Training + History exam at Uni (which I passed with a B!~), Wednesday: Miyuki finished her exam and I had an appointment with the doctor who operated me - just a checkup xD, Thursday: Appointment at the dentist and buying fabric for Break and Natalia, Friday: Training and sewing and the rest of the weekend was filled with sewing xD So a very busy week for me xD

Two of my lovely girls with their hats on~ <3 I'm so proud of you and also to the other who finished and which I sadly couldn't attend D:

Some ducks wanted to join in as we celebrated Malene finishing her last exams xD they were very, very close to us xD They did that too last year ~

And everyone wanted to try Zaki's hat xD Especially Lavi since she got a hat with another color xD (you look so lovely~ <3)

Then I was at the movies together with Samie, Lavi, Lolo and Alfredo from Mexico to watch the last Harry Potter movie! It was really great just to sit and talk and eat a little before going into the cinema~

I'm not going to spoil anything for people who haven't seen it but I'll just have to say it was a really great movie. It was the perfect way to end 10 years with Harry Potter. Sadly I didn't read it from its beginning but first in 8th grade after I had been seing the three first movies but after finishing the first book I was fasninated by this universe and wanted to know more so I borrow all the other books (except nr. 7 because it was out yet xD)

And of course I cried at some scenes in the movie I really couldn't help it and I also sat all excited and almost cheered in the good scenes, of course some things from the book missed and something could have been better I still love this movie~ I want to see it again! xD

But everything can't be great all the time, just two days in the holiday I was helding at my parent's place my grandmother called and told us that my grandfather had passed away due to a heartattack ;______; it really came as a shock to everyone of us because he had seemed so healthy last time we saw him. I'm fine about it right now, especially after the funeral this Tuedays where I cried under the speech held by the priest and then when they carried the coffin out and the car drove away with it. Just to watch my mother, her siblings and especially my grandmother looking so much in sorrow and devastated made me cry. But I think they will be allright after all this, right now it is just difficult to adjust mostly to my grandmoter. Also things has to be changed now that he is gone because my grandmother will be alone most of the time when my uncle starts working again and I have a feeling that I will be included into some of this. My mother mentioned that he might sell the house that I'm living in right now but nothing is sure right now and I'll have to wait until my uncle has decided something.

At the funeral I also met two of my uncles that I haven't seen for 5 and 3 years, one of them was the son of my grandfather and the other my aunt's ex husband. I also met some of my grandfather's family from Fyn who told us how much he had talked about his grandchildren and it was amazing he had lived for that long because he was told after a heart operation that he wouldn't live any longer than 60 years and he managed to live for almost 73 years so that made me really happy to hear that he had been here for longer than expected and he hadn't suffered in his last moments.
He wasn't my real grandfather but I've only seen my real one at my cousin's birthday 11 years ago and at that time I was first told after the birthday that it was my real grandfather because he and my grandmother had been divorced when my mom was young. I've always wanted to know how he was so when my mother's half sister came to visit I asked her about him and her respond was: "Well you haven't lost anything by not knowing him.." hearing this and how he didn't care that much about his family made me glad that he had been out of my life and instead I had a caring and loving grandfather - not related by blood but I've always seen him as my real because he was there for my grandmother when she was very ill and he always helped when you needed it.

Enough of these sad things and then let's get on to the subject of the title ~
After having visitors for a week and then a funeral to attend I finally got to sew on my cosplays for Genki yesterday xD I made some changes on Natalia from Tales of the Abyss because the first I sew was horrible due to stress and too little sleep and I want it to look good since I'm participating in the craftmanship (Yes it isn't a big and great costume but I've played a little with the details and challenged myself with some things)

Today my main focus was on the prop for Natalia, I'm not able to make her bow so I decided to make to arrow thing - just so that I have made a prop for her xD And I like the result very much xD even though it made me crazy some times xD The main thing is made from a round package you use to send posters in, so I clued leather around it and made a small thing on the top. I'm thinking about painting it but I'll do that at my parent's place this weekend xD

Natalia wear the arrow thing by a strap over her shoulder so I had to make a belt kind of thing.. How to do that? xD I found an old belt that I didn't use anymore.. but then.. the closing thing was silver.. and hers is of course gold D: Buuuut I found some gold spray paint from when Samie was painting the swords for our act last year that I could use xD there wasn't that much left but enough for the close - yes it doesn't look that great but it is gold and that's okay for me xD

Then at last I wanted to make some arrows because.. An empty arrow holster isn't that great xD I found so round wooden stick and made six of them,, but then again my unluck turned in.. How to attact the feathers in the end so that it would look good? D:  I tried cutting but after being dangerously close to cut myself in the leg I tried looking for some other method.. And it involved a screwdriver and a hammer ~ And it actually worked!~ I was quite surprised that it turned out good even though some of the feather was difficult to make fit to the stick xD

But now I've made the arrow holster and I hope it will work out. I have tested that I can walk around wearing it without all the arrows falling out xD So mission prop completed - except paint.. But we'll see xD

I'm also sewing on Break but I didn't take any photos of him right now because it is just one big jacket thing right now >___< I still need to rip the bottom, make the collar and sew on the buttons xD but I still have some days left until Genki~

I sit right now and sewing on my gloves for Natalia while watching Cars.. again xD I also saw it this morning xD I hope the gloves will be good while so far I can fit it~

But this was the update from my about my progress xD and what had happened since last time xD

Exams, training and cosplay!

So here I am again~  xD And in only 3 days I'll get that heavy bandage of my leg and I am really looking forward to get it off xD Thursday when I was training with the physiotherapist she said I could get ot off some minutes and just walk around... I must say.. It was wonderful! My legs was so light, of course it wasn't that easy to walk but it felt good without the heavy weight xD

Oh and then there was these two days with a lot of rain and thunder! xD I can't help but sit outside and just listen to the thunder and smell the fresh air, cleansed from the rain (I'm allergic to grass so after some very hot days it is great with a lot of rain to clear it out xD).

Looks kind of cool xD and some minutes later hell broke loss with a lot of rain and one of my windows shaking because of the pressure from a lightning o__o

Yesterday I finished my written exams and it has been terrible, not the exam itself but reading all the stuff the whole week was hard for my brain even though I took some breaks >___<
First there was the phonetic exam (about sounds and how they are spoken) the subject was one of the most difficult ones and I know I have some errors, but I made it through it and went home to read aboout 80 pages about lingvistic... something I still struggle to find the meaning with... I really don't understand it... But I read all Thursday till..... very late o'clock and then also in the train on my way to school.
But the subject was quite okay and the questions in the text was something I could answer very well ^^ so I hope that I'll pass both of them. Now I only have the oral history exam left and then it is summer holiday! xD well I still have to read alot before the exam but I'm not so nervous about that because it is history and the teacher is kind ^^

And all this time off at home made so I could work a bit on a cosplay that had been put away for some time - my Spain pirate jacket! xD I had some troubles finding out how to make the gold things on the front but finally I found the solution!



Here are all the stripes I sew on, there are about 32 of them! xD



And here is the final result after some time containing swearing, needles in my fingers and glue on my fingers.

I like how it turned out even though it is not totally perfect but I like as it is right now xD

Now I only need to finish the collar and something on the sleeves and then it is done~

It has taking some time considering I started the project in August last year xD but there has been many others things that needed to be done and then if I had time I didn't know what to do D:

But now it is almost over.

Easter, SVS-con 2011 and knee surgery ~

So it has been a while since I wrote a journal in here - sorry for that D: I've been busy about school and cosplays D:

But I had a wonderful Easter together with a lot of my friends and the days were filled with cosplay, prop making and practicing on our act xD

Here is some pictures:

As you can see we had a lot of fun, torturing Lavi and practicing our act behind the thing that was going to our book xD

But Easter also brought warmer weather and a small family party - not that big xD but I had to take care of my cousin's cute little dog (Samie hates him xD) Budda~ <3 He is so cute but a pain to take a picture of xD And after I had been running around trying to get a good picture he sat down on my feet and began to sleep and snore! xD stupid, cute little dog xD

 Here is my lovely tree outside my window, but sadly all the flowers are gone now D: So I'm glad I took a picture just in time so I could share this beauty with you guys~

So finally svs-con arrived~ I already wrote a long journal on dA so I guess most of you have read it there but I can say it was a fantastic convention~ <3 I had so much fun and felt really relaxed despite a long roadtrip with stupid drivers (Not Lavi, she was execellent~ <3) but it was also great to see all my friends again and the cosplay competition was great~ I really loved Lavi and Lolo's Tangled act because they looked so much like the characters and they played them so well~ I also love Mona, Ida and Maru's Rozen Maiden act because their music were so great and the acting so.. so.. *w* wow~

And then I also loved Tati and Sille's Vocaloid act, there were a lot of dancing acts but their were kind of interesting and I also loved the music here~

I was also surprised that people liked out Beauty and the Beast so much and that we won two prices!

SVS Special and Best Act~ <3<3 Damn you Karina xD but I still love you - ore sexy~

I found two pictures of the costume I wore for the weekend, they don't belong to me but the photographers.

 

At Friday I was Hermione from Harry Potter together with the big Harry Potter group~ We ruled totally especially because we had the most awesome Umbridge <3

At Saturday I was the Entchantess from Beauty and the Beast, most people didn't know who I was because it was a self design and not the original from the movie, but I still like it very much, even though it was troublesome sometimes xD well it happens xD I look so mad at this picture and in reality I'm all like: "Oh no I stepped on my dress oh no I'm going to fall or laugh, oh no" xD

So all in all: SVS was AWESOME!~

And it was great to have such a good weekend because two days after svs-con I was going to have a knee surgery and I was really nervous about getting the anestetic and my stomahc was really killing me because I wasn't allowed to eat anything 6 hours before the surgery >___< and it was quite warm that day so I drank some ice tee as the last things I could so I wouldn't get dizzy, it helped a bit. I was also very glad one of my team mates showed up at Uni to help me get through the lesson and cheer me up before the surgery.

As always I almost arrived late because the s-trains had problems as usual and there was a bit longer from the station to the hospital D: but I arrived 10 minutes before time and then I just waited and waited and it was so hot inside the hospital, until I arrived in some room where I had to wait for the doctors to arrive.

Aircondition worked in this room so it was chilly and nice xD

The doctor told me that if they couldn't do anything I would wake up with just a band aid on my knee otherwise I would get a don-joy (A large thing around your whole leg that will support it and make sure you won't bend your knee). I crossed my fingers that they could something. In the surgery room people were very nice to me and I fell asleep pretty fast xD the funny thing was, some seconds before I woke up I dreamt that I was together with Samie and Lavi and then suddenly Lavi is shouting that I should wake up! in the same second I woke up to find out everything is over and that I'm having the don-joy around my leg xD strange dream yes xD

Luckily the doctors could fix my damage but now I have to wear this heavy big grey thing that makes sure I won't bend my knee for 5 weeks! Well after two weeks they will do so I can bend my knee but still. 

After surgery I was driven home by my parents and I'm staying at their house right now because I really need help to some things, I can walk thanks to some (krykker) supporters? but it means that I can't bear anything with me like a plate or a glass, so I am relaxing on the couch or in the bed and looking forward to become more mobile in the next weeks and at the same time I'm also reading up on my exams xD

 

So this is how my left leg looks like right now, not very pretty I know xD And it is heavy as hell, but good training xD What annoys me the most is that I can't reach the points on my leg where it itches and it makes me crazy sometimes and the knee is getting cramps in the middle of the night >__< But the wounds are looking good right now so everything is going well~

Sorry that it was a very, very long journal but I just had so much to write down and tell you, hope that it wasn't too long ~

First blog and cosplay progress ~

So this is my first blog! Yay xD
This blog will be about mostly my cosplay of course - the progress and some pictures maybe xD But it will also be about some of my everyday life (Not that it is that exciting xD but still)

So the last weekends I've been working together with Samie http://samietheturtle.deviantart.com/ on our costumes to svs-con - Beauty and the Beast ~
I'm going to be the fairy/witch and I'm almost done with the dress now~ Still miss some small things but this is how it look so far:

It is a dress I've borrowed from Samie~ Thank you so much dear and then I' sew some shinning fabric under the first layer of the dress.

And to add some from the Beauty and the Beast we decided to sew on small red roses on the skirt - because there is a rose in the B&B, okay? xD

The sleeves aren't quite finished but we'll soon find out what to do with them xD The fabric is some kind of organza I think it is called and it looks so awesome~ but a hell to sew D:

I'm really looking forward to see the result of this dress~

Then I'm also working on Hermione from Harry Potter but since you can't find that special kind of fabric their shirts are made of I decided to buy one in H&M and what a mess it was >__< last Friday I spent about 30-40 minutes in one store to find one that looked right and wasn't too expensive... In the end I gave up and went on because I had an arrangement in an hour and I needed to go somewhere else too o:

But then yesterday I went in to the store that lies in Waves in Hundige and I found the perfect perfect shirt~ and it was less expensive than the one I saw in Copenhagen!~
Then there was the problem about her skirt.. well what can I say... H&M just hates me right now.. So I bought some jersey fabric to sew a skirt and I was a bit nervous about the outcome but today when I had the day off from the studies I wanted to give it a try xD and it turned out quite well~

Yeah I'm looking kind of stupid xD that's what you get on your days off and you are too lazy xD But I really like this skirt xD

I might use it to non-cosplay thing because it looks good, has the right lenght and isn't kind of irritating when I'm wearing it xD

Too bad I didn't make any pockets in it - but on the other hand.. there were no pockets on the picture I looked after so.. well xD

So the only thing I'm missing on this costume is the tie of course xD But I'm going to buy it in the next couple of days.

And in two days I got easter holidays~ xD

And there I will again be creative together with Samie, the twins and Lavi~ I'm really lookign forward to see you again <3
I'm also going to attend a meet up with my old group from middle school (folkeskolen - I don't know xD)


Some of them I haven't been seeing for almost two years so it will be great to see them again and have some fun time together xD
But easter won't be all about having fun and being creative >__<
I'm also going to work on two assignment from the study - one about closing sounds in phonetic  and then a excercise in lingvistic. And to make things worse I have to write this assignment in Literature about one of the novels we've read >__<
But that is first in Mai. I've chosen to write about "Nothing new on the West Front" or "Im Westen nichts neues" By Erich Remarque 1. because I think it is a great story. 2. I told about some points in the book together with two awesome people from my class so we have a little background information and that might help us a little.

I'll cross my fingers and hope that everything will go well~
(and sorry for the bad grapic work here... I suck at doing those things so the design will be very boring .___.)
